April Showers...Never Ended!!!

Hello All!  I know it has been a while since I last posted.  The past few weeks have been filled with rain, friends, chats with the brothers, Easter, doctors visits, and did I mention rain?  April seemed like it was never going to end because it was constantly raining.  It was definitely frustrating because all I wanted to do was be outside but instead we woke almost every morning to rain.

Matt and I were able to spend a couple of Friday nights out with friends.  It was very nice to get out and see our friends.  Fridays are usually spent with Matt and I plopped on the couch after a long week.  We are looking forward to many more times spent with our friends this Spring and Summer.

I was also able to have chat sessions with both of my brothers, who are currently serving in Afghanistan.  Since Dustin has limited access to the internet we've only been able to chat a couple of times.  Aaron works with computers so we are able to chat on a more regular basis.  No matter how little or how much I get to talk to either of them I cherish every chat because I miss them so much.  But, in a few short months my brothers will be safely back in the States and myself and my family cannot wait!  A special thank you to my brothers and the many other soldiers who continue to sacrifice so that we can stay Free and Safe.  There really is no way to show them the gratitude the deserve but we should all continue to try because they give so much and we owe them so much.

Easter started with a pleasant surprise of sunshine and warmth.  Matt and I had a wonderful Brunch with his parents and Uncle.  We were all so giddy to see the sun and feel the warmth.  Matt, his dad and his Uncle decided to go fishing in the afternoon.  Unfortunately, as they were leaving the driveway it began to drizzle and stayed that way all day.  That didn't stop them though.  While the boys were fishing Matt's mom and I relaxed.  That night we had a lovely dinner that Matt's mom prepared.  The woman can cook!  It was a very nice day and we were so happy to be able to spend it with family.

About two weeks ago I went back to see my gyno.  As suspected the birth control did not have the desired effect and I have to have a Laparoscopy to remove the cyst.  Tomorrow I go in for the surgery.  It is a simple surgery and I will be back home tomorrow.  I will spend a few days healing and then I'll be set to go again.  I was slightly disappointed but I had plenty of time to deal with the fact that I was probably going to need the surgery so I have dealt.  The surgery is just one more stepping stone to Baby Cook.  After a follow up with my gyno in a month I will go back to my fertility doctor and we will continue on our journey.

So, that was the rest of our April.  We are looking forward to a much sunnier May and I can't wait to see my flower garden progress.  I will keep you all updated on my surgery and anything else going on in our lives.  Have a wonderful rest of your week!
